In line with the UAE’s commitment to manage the risk of climate change, we are also researching and developing a series of breakthrough projects and technologies, such as Al Reyadah - our joint venture with renewable energy pioneer Masdar - which focuses on exploring and developing commercial-scale projects for carbon capture, usage and storage. Al Reyadah’s first project, with Emirates Steel Industries, will utilize and sequester 800,000 tons of CO2 each year.
